OBIHIRO OFFICE

Salesperson Profile
My name is Osaka, and I work at the Obihiro branch. I'm from Obihiro City, Hokkaido, and I grew up surrounded by the primary industries of Tokachi, where I've come to appreciate their value and potential. I spent much of my twenties in Australia, where I cultivated my English skills and cross-cultural understanding through living with people from many different countries. Based on these experiences, I was drawn to the work of connecting foreign talent with local industries, and that's why I joined Life Lab Co., Ltd.
Going forward, we aim to go beyond mere matching and provide practical support tailored to the needs of the community, contributing to the creation of mutually valuable relationships. Furthermore, we intend to actively address regional challenges and contribute to sustainable development.
This is what Obihiro is like
Obihiro is located in the center of the Tokachi area. Hokkaido is generally thought of as cold and snowy, but in fact, even within the prefecture, it is said to be a pleasant place to live with little snow. Nogyo Job's services are used by farmers all over Hokkaido, but the Obihiro office mainly conducts daily sales activities in the Tokachi, Kushiro, Nemuro, and Okhotsk areas.
The Tokachi area is a thriving area for both crop farming and livestock farming. In crop farming, potatoes, sugar beets, wheat, and beans are the most common crops grown. In livestock farming, dairy farmers make up the largest proportion. A major feature of this office is that we can learn about the diverse backgrounds of Hokkaido, a historic dairy powerhouse. In addition, many of the farmers are warm and welcoming, and will speak to you kindly even if you meet for the first time. We also receive seasonal vegetables such as wild vegetables in early spring and pumpkins and corn in summer.

Future goals and prospects of the sales office
The future goals of the Obihiro Sales Office are to "always be at the forefront and lead the way among all sales offices nationwide" and to "establish a solid position in Hokkaido as a comprehensive human resources company specializing in the agricultural industry." To achieve this, we will need to interact with many farmers and fully support their human resources from various angles. We will work together with Hokkaido's crop and livestock farmers, as well as with government and financial institutions, to move forward step by step toward solving the major issue of the human resources shortage in the agricultural industry.
Not only do we aim to become the industry's number one comprehensive human resources company, but we will also increase our efforts in new areas beyond human resources support, and continue to work hard every day to make Life Lab an indispensable presence in the agricultural industry.
What kind of people would you like to see join your company in the future?
I would like people who can continue to grow to join our company. I think it's a waste for people who are satisfied with the status quo and whose goal is to maintain it. Anyone can always challenge themselves to do something. At first, I also tried and failed, and sometimes I became afraid of failing, but I came to believe that people who can't even try will not be able to create anything. For those who are hesitant to take the first step towards a challenge because they think, "I honestly don't understand anything about the agricultural industry..." or "The human resources industry seems tough...", try starting with something small.
Once you have a clear idea of how you would like to contribute to the agricultural industry, we would love to meet you for an interview at Life Lab. Why not join us in contributing to this important industry that supports Japan's food industry, starting with the perspective of human resources?
