Salesperson Profile
My name is Furukawa and I work at our head office. I grew up in a fishing town in the Tohoku region, surrounded by farmland, and have been exposed to primary industries since I was a child. I was devoted to sports from childhood through university, and in my previous job I was involved in providing job hunting support to student athletes. However, due to the impact of COVID-19 in 2020, many companies scaled back or canceled their recruitment activities, bringing a major turning point for the entire human resources industry.
During this time, I had the opportunity to help several producers through connections with acquaintances, and witnessed the serious labor shortage in the agricultural industry. Through this experience, I strongly felt that I wanted to use the knowledge I had gained in the human resources industry to help the agricultural industry, and so I decided to join Life Lab.
Currently, I work in sales, helping producers across the country with their recruitment needs. I will do my best every day to help as many producers as possible and support the future of Japan's agricultural industry. Thank you for your support.
This is what Tokyo is like
Our head office sales department is responsible for a wide area stretching from the Tohoku region to the Tokai region. We are involved in a wide range of production items, from crop farming to livestock farming and fishing, making us the most well-balanced sales office in the country. The Kanto region is a particularly large target area, and Gunma Prefecture is a major producer of heavy vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, known as "highland vegetables."
Agriculture is also very thriving in the Tokai region, and we often visit Mie Prefecture, famous for Matsusaka beef, Shizuoka Prefecture, famous for its tea and mandarin orange production, and Aichi Prefecture, which boasts some of the highest production volumes in the country for both crops and livestock. Tohoku is also home to many fisheries and rice-related companies, making it a very interesting region where the main industry changes with the seasons. As the head office sales department is responsible for a wide area, this is the most recommended office if you're looking to get into the primary industry!


Future goals and prospects of the sales office
The Head Office Sales Division is the central base for sales in Honshu. Because it covers the widest area of all our sales offices, we are expected to offer proposals that are tailored to the local characteristics and personalities of each individual. This is why we work closely with other sales offices and departments within the company, and our goal going forward is to continue to lead the way as a sales office that can reach all parts of Japan.
Of course, we aim to be the best among all sales offices in terms of sales performance. The Head Office Sales Division has the most opportunities to interact with customers from a variety of production areas and scales, and this is the field where Life Lab's strength of being able to make any proposal can be best demonstrated. What kind of people would you like to see join your company in the future?
The type of person the Head Office Sales Department is looking for is someone who is "able to constantly pursue personal growth." Of course, the desire to contribute to farmers and the labor shortage problem in the primary industries is extremely important. However, if you focus too much on that idea, you will not be able to face your customers "as a sales representative." Particularly at Life Lab, which deals in intangible products like human resources services, it can be difficult to truly feel your "personal contribution." That's why it's important to separate "desire for the primary industries" from "experience for growth."
Currently and in the future, Life Lab requires people with the vitality to absorb and put into practice the experience of managing numbers, setting goals, and strictly enforcing rules. We hope to grow the entire sales department together with people who can adapt to ever-changing situations, who want to achieve rapid growth, and who can express their opinions clearly and concisely.
